The West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) is a public state university located in the suburban satellite township of Salt Lake City, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The university primarily provides programs in multidisciplinary fields like science, technology and management. Funded initially by the Government of West Bengal, UTech is set to become a "Center of Excellence" in multidisciplinary science and technology areas, in studies and research.
